Tracey Emin

The homecoming of Margate's favourite daughter sees artist Tracey Emin pay homage to her hometown with new work possessing a visible sense of serenity and calm, befitting Turner Contemporary's glorious location on the seafront. Barely ten months after her major retrospective at the Hayward, Emin takes on the handsome Margate galleries and creates fresh pieces for this exhibition, which she seems to have deployed as a seminal break from her tumultuous and troubled Margate past.
