Cecile B Evans

This year's 2012 Emdash Award winner at Frieze Art London is Berlin-based artist Cecile B. Evans. Evans winning proposal takes the form of an audio guide to Frieze accompanied by a holographic 'host' - art historian Simon Schama. The audio guide features a panel of notable British figures in culture, including Sophie Dahl and Grace Dent, all of whom are experts in their own fields but none of whom are artists or critics. Evans' aim was to give points of entry into contemporary art for the Frieze going public by keeping the commentary subjective and navigable.
