Marc Quinn

Marc Quinn's notable and varied works include Siren, a life-size 18 carat gold rendering of Kate Moss; Self, a sculpture made from nine frozen pints of his own blood; and Alison Lapper Pregnant, which depicts the disabled artist Alison Lapper naked. Alongside Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, Quinn is a member of the Young British Artists (YBAs) whose work still garners considerable recognition and controversy. His sculpture of Alison Lapper sat on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square, London, and was a highlight of the London 2012 Paralympic Games opening ceremony.
