Two years ago Jay James Picton was a fitness instructor in the Royal Navy and now is record label Decca's newest signing and future soul star, working with the likes of Booker T Jones and John Legend. He co-produced his debut album, Play It By Heart, working with Mike Peden and Malay, who have worked with David Bowie and 50 Cent respectively.
