In 2011, James Sallis's book Drive was made into a film of the same name starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan. The film, having achieved cult status, inspired the American crime writer to revisit his original enigmatic tale. This month, Driven, Sallis's sequel is released in the UK.
