Bus Tops

Bus-Tops is a collaborative public art installation founded by creative technologist, Alfie Dennen, as part of the The Cultural Olympiad 2012. Thirty red and black LED screens have been placed on top of bus shelters in over 20 London boroughs. The project introduces art into communal spaces, challenging us to rethink our urban landscape. Crane.tv heads to the Bus-Tops headquarters in Hackney to interview Michelle Deignan, the selected artist for May, and talk to Dennen about the aims of the project, and how the chosen aesthetic relates to a sentimentality about travel. www.bus-tops.com
