Starting out as a graphic designer Mike Mills has worked with the likes of Yoko Ono, the Beastie Boys and Beck before turning his hand to film directing in 2005 with his debut feature, Thumbsuckers. Mills? second film, Beginners, is a semi-autobiographical story starring Ewan McGregor and Oscar nominee Christopher Plummer. Supporting-actor Plummer plays a 75 year old father who tells his son he is gay while battling cancer. Crane.tv meets up with Mills to talk about his life and find out what he learnt about love from his father.
